We are so happy to welcome you to our favorite town. We hope you'll be able to enjoy some of our favorite places while you're in town -- some of our reccomendations are listed here to get you started!
Breakfast:Â
Bodos Bagels: A Charlottesville classic and a must stop for a quick grab-and-go breakfast.
Cafe Maribette: Delicious french bakery breakfast
IX Park Farmers Market: On Saturday Morning, the farmers market is the place to be in Charlottesville, and Alana's favorite law school routine. Favorite vendors are Agriberry Farm for Apples, Jam According to Daniel and Mexican Tacos.

Lunch:Â
Roots: Healthy option for build your own grain and salad bowls. We recommend taking your bowl to go and walking across the street to enjoy it on the steps of the Rotunda.
Ivy Provisions: Our favorite spot for sandwiches and salads, and our first stop when we visit C'ville. We love the Gobbfather and the Rhodie, but you can't go wrong!
Bellair Market: The best sandwiches you'll ever get at a gas station. A great option to grab sandwiches and take on a hike. We recommend the Jefferson!
Brazos Tacos: A fun place to grab tacos & drinks on a pretty day. Also a good spot for breakfast tacos!
Feast: Good walk-up spot and store to grab food or charcuterie to-go. Owned by the owners of our wedding venue!

Dinner & Drinks:Â
The Bebedero: Ian & Alana came here on one of their first dates and they both took scorpion shots. This place quickly became their favorite date night destination. Order the brisket nachos & empanadas, and a scorpion shot (if you dare!).
Mas: Spanish tapas & fun vibes. Reservations highly recommended.Â
Oakhart Social: Tapas-style American dishes with creative options and good cocktails.
Alley Light: Moody speakeasy off the downtown mall with the best cocktails in town.Â
Whiskey Jar: Great spot for whiskey drinks & live music on the downtown mall.Â
Kardinal Hall: Casual beer hall with board games.
Blue Mountain Brewery: If you find yourself out in wine country, this is a fun destination for burgers, mountain views and live music. Â
You can't go wrong with anything on the "downtown mall" or in the "Belmont" neighborhoods.
Wineries & Breweries:Â
Pippen Hill: Beautiful vineyard close to town.
Blenheim Vineyards: This vineyard is owned by Dave Matthews, who even designs the art to go on the bottles!
King Family Vineyard: Wine with a touch of horses. If you're in town on Sunday, they'll have a polo match. Known for their "crosé" rose.
Veritas & Afton: Great mountain views at two vineyards that are close together. It's easy to "vineyard hop" between these two. Bonus if you stop for food at Blue Mountain Brewery on the way!
Pro Re Nata Brewery: Brewery with yard games and fun outdoor spaces.Â
Carter Mountain Orchard: Home of Bold Rock Cider & the apple cider donuts are a C'ville classic.Â
Glass House Winery: We're praying for sunny skies all weekend, but if it happens to rain, this winery has a greenhouse tasting room that's a fun option for bad weather.
Things to see & do:
Apple Picking: Visit Carter Mountain Orchards to pick your own apples.
Charlottesville Downtown Mall: Charlottesville's pedestrian mall with shops, drinks, and great restaurants.Â
Monticello: Thomas Jefferson's historic home.
UVA Grounds (The Virginia term for campus). Start at the Rotunda & walk down the "range' to Edgar Allen Poe's dorm.
Hikes:Â
Humpback Rock: A short and rewarding hike that's close to town, but be warned, it's steep!Â
Spy Rock: 180 degree mountain views at the top!
Crabtree Falls: Mountain views and a waterfall!
Saunders Monticello Trail: Not quite a hike, but a great place to stretch your legs if you opt to stay in town.
